Hebrews 4:12For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Cellphones What!? 9-27-08

My Cellphone Incident

James 5:15
“And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

On September 26, my cellphone was cracked. It was an inner crack. My phone is a LG Voyager so that means it has touch screen. Yes a very expensive phone too. Somehow it was broken. My theory was that one of my friends jumped on me and then I hit the chair so that might be the reason why my phone broke but now I hope it can be repaired. Anyway how does this relate?

I must then thank you my “secret” place where I get ideas for devotions. Well, when I was in that place, I thought of my phone and how it leads to us. Like we are the phone, whenever we get “hit” by some hard things such as temptations, friendship problems, school, and maybe even stress, we usually have a crack in our heart or we call it the “inner” crack. But how does an “inner” crack starts? Of course, it takes time; not by just one hit unless its a BIG BIG hit. Like my phone, I believe that because I hit it too much, it might have causes it to break eventually. Like us, we don't just get a visible “inner” crack with one hit but with many.

As we go in the process of getting an “inner” crack, we also doesn't really notice it until it is like a really visible one. So what do we do next after seeing our crack? Will you just notice and just continue with life? Or find a solution to fix the crack?

Of course, most people would try to find a way to fix it. Like my phone, I probably would bring it to someplace to fix it if it is possible. Then how about us? Our “inner” problems?

Psalm 30:2-3LORD my God, I cried out to You,And You healed me.O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

It is the Lord, our God, who heals our problems. It only takes a minute to pray and God would hear your problems!! God will heal your “inner” problems that you can't heal. Like Jesus Christ who gave us eternal life, who gave us a second chance, someone who cleanse us from our sin, and someone who gave us freedom. If only we let God in our hearts and let Him heal us from our problems that we are suffering from. God can do very very amazing things that will/can change your life but it is still your choice to make because God has given you freedom to choose. So choose wisely and if you have any problems. GO TO GOD! He is the only one who will give you an answer you want. Sometimes it might not be what you expect but continue to trust in Him. May God bless you and STAY CLOSE TO GOD!!!
